Privacy Policy
This policy explains what information BRIDGE (operated by VERAi HealthTech) collects, why we collect it, and how it is protected. It applies to anyone who contacts BRIDGE, uses our coordination services, or visits this site.
Overview
BRIDGE is a clinical health coordination and continuity service. We are not a hospital, telemedicine platform, or booking app — we are the layer that connects patients, providers, and communities. Because we handle referrals and follow-up on real medical situations, the information involved is often sensitive. This policy is written to be read alongside our Terms of Use and our Patient Consent & Confidentiality Form.
Information we collect
Depending on how you interact with BRIDGE, we may collect:
- Identity & contact details — name, date of birth, phone number, email, WhatsApp number, and physical address.
- Health information — referral details, presenting concerns, provider correspondence, home visit reports, and outcome records tied to your case ID.
- Programme & partnership information — for organisations, this may include aggregate referral volumes and outcome data used in reporting.
- Basic usage data — pages visited and general device information when you use this website.
How we use it
We use your information to coordinate care: matching you with the right service, tracking a case from opening to a documented outcome, following up during recovery (for example, around day 3, 7, and 30 after discharge), coordinating home support through partners, and reporting aggregate outcomes to partner organisations where a programme agreement is in place. We do not use your health information for advertising, and we do not sell personal data.
How we share it
We share information only where it is necessary to deliver care or where you have consented:
- With the licensed provider(s) BRIDGE coordinates access to on your behalf, limited to what that provider needs to deliver care.
- With partner NGOs or organisations only where you were referred through their programme, and only to the extent your consent covers.
- Where required by Ghanaian law or a valid order from a competent authority.
We do not sell personal data, and we do not share health information with employers, insurers, or third parties for commercial purposes.
Your rights under Ghanaian law
This policy operates under the Ghana Data Protection Act, 2012 (Act 843). Subject to that Act, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of the personal data BRIDGE holds about you.
- Ask us to correct inaccurate or outdated information.
- Withdraw consent for information sharing at any point in an open case.
- Lodge a complaint with the Data Protection Commission of Ghana.
Retention
We retain case records for as long as needed to support continuity of care and to meet our legal and clinical governance obligations, after which records are archived or securely deleted in line with our internal retention schedule.
Security
Access to case records is limited to the coordinators and clinical staff directly involved in your care. We apply reasonable technical and organisational safeguards to protect information against loss, misuse, and unauthorised access.
Children's information
Where BRIDGE coordinates care for a minor, information is collected and shared with the consent of a parent or legal guardian, who may exercise all rights described in this policy on the minor’s behalf.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as BRIDGE grows. Material changes will be reflected here with an updated date, and where appropriate, communicated directly to active cases.
