Service
Appointments & Referrals
Booking, referral, investigation, report, and follow-up coordination — carried through to a documented result rather than stopping at a phone call.
What this service helps with
This service covers the practical arrangements around care: securing an appointment, moving a referral forward, arranging an investigation, collecting a report, and making sure the follow-up action actually happens.
Who it is for
- Members waiting on a referral that has stalled
- People who need tests or scans arranged
- Families managing several appointments at once
- Anyone who has a report to collect, share, or act on
Situations we see
A referral was issued two months ago and nothing has moved since.
A scan was done, the report exists somewhere, and no clinician has seen it.
Three appointments in two facilities need to happen in the right order.
What BRIDGE will do
- Contact providers as authorised and seek appointment slots
- Move a referral forward and confirm receipt
- Arrange investigations and confirm preparation instructions
- Help collect reports and share them with permission
- Confirm attendance and record the outcome
- Chase what has not happened and document why
What BRIDGE will not do
- Guarantee a specific date, provider, clinician, or price
- Skip a queue or obtain preferential treatment
- Interpret a report or explain what a result means
- Instruct a provider on clinical management
What we need from you
- Membership, identity, and consent in place
- The referral letter or request form where one exists
- Facility and clinician names if already known
- Authorisation for us to contact providers on your behalf
- Dates and times that genuinely work for you
How fees work
Charged per approved case. Where several appointments form one pathway, we scope them together rather than charging as if each call were a new case.
Response standard
Active cases are worked within the published standard for your membership tier. Provider-side delays are outside our control; what we control is persistence and honest reporting.
We aim to respond to enquiries within 30 minutes to 24 hours. Staffed hours are still being finalised. [CONFIRM BEFORE LAUNCH] Staffed hours and tier-specific response windows.
Clinical boundary
We arrange and document. Clinical judgement, including whether an investigation is appropriate, stays with the treating provider. BRIDGE is not an emergency service. For emergencies, call 112 or go to the nearest emergency facility.
Questions
Can you get me seen faster?
We can be persistent, well-prepared, and quick to take a cancellation slot. We cannot buy priority over other patients.
Who pays the facility?
You do, directly or as agreed. Our fee covers coordination only.
What if the appointment falls through?
We record what happened, tell you, and rework the plan. That is part of the case, not a new one.
